The number you see in the upper left of the Camera app is not a count-down timer, but rather an indication of how long the camera needs to be exposed to the image to take the photo. In this instance, the amount of time it takes the camera to capture the picture can be increased, which allows more light to pass through the lens over time, and is referred to as its Exposure. In the event there isn't enough light coming from a source (like a lamp or the sun), your camera won't be able to capture the image you're trying to get. Your camera requires a certain amount of light to be let in through the lens and sensors in order to take a proper picture. I understand you've got some concerns over the Night Mode feature in the Camera app on your iPhone, and I think I can help provide some understanding as to why you're unable to turn it off. Unfortunately, I take many pictures and I have lost many opportunities for pictures that would have been important to me if I could have taken them immediately but could not. it works extremely well and extremely pleased with everything except the Camera app. Excuse my frustrated mood I might be conveying here, but I am extremely frustrated with this new iPhone I just purchased. If someone can please explain how to completely eliminate the timer altogether that would be wonderful. But if you just want a quick answer to a simple question, just answer the question. If one wants to history on a topic then they can put what’s the history of this topic and the answer to a question. It’s amazing you can ask a very simple question, on a search on the Internet and it seems you have to go through an entire history, explanations, all sorts of nonsense before they ever get to just the simple answer which should be the first thing listed. If it was dark outside Or inside the camera would automatically adjust for low light and take a picture immediately without any need to sit there and think about it or take 10 to 15 seconds trying to readjust the camera so it will take a picture. I don’t care about night mode, and this was never an issue before on other iPhones, so why would a camera with much superior quality not able to take a low light picture quickly? I want to take a picture and I want to take it immediately with little light or a lot of light it should not make any difference and this was never a problem before. I’m looking for other camera apps to replace the one that comes with the iPhone 11 which is absolutely worthless to me, as it Turns the timer on for the most important pictures that I need to take rapidly and I am unable to do it. I want the option to turn the timer off completely as I will never ever use it. Maybe I want a picture that has a little light to it and not brightly lit on every single picture. I’m reading mentions of night mode and the cameras sensing it’s dark so the timer turns itself on, well I don’t want this. This is the most infuriating and worst function on an iPhone that has all these nice cameras and render them useless to take the picture you want, quickly. My iPhone 11 camera randomly when opening the camera app, the timer automatically turns itself on to two seconds or three seconds and have to reset it off and I miss the picture I want to take.
